The response and positive feedback we received on our February event demonstrates that there remains a strong appetite for learning and networking among Connecticut communicators.
As a result, we are renewing our commitment to reinvigorate CT/IABC by forming a new board of directors and set of working committees that will serve through September 30, 2013.
And so, as past CT/IABC president, I am asking for your help.
Perhaps you’ve been on the fence about CT/IABC board membership, joining a committee or simply becoming a more active member. Here are some reasons why you should consider becoming involved:
- You have an opportunity to directly shape our programming
- Your contributions and experience on the team are great ways to expand your communicator’s tool bag
- Your knowledge and expertise will be broadened by collaboration with communicators who bring unique experience and skills
- Any involvement enhances your personal and professional networking opportunities
Once the slate for the board is prepared, members will receive an email to affirm the candidates.
All members are eligible to become board members! In fact membership and enthusiasm are truly the only prerequisites.
Please send an email to me at ct-webmaster@iabc.com by 5:00 p.m., Thursday, April 26 if you are interested in any of the following positions:
